Google apparently has limited Nexus Q orders

Nexus Q

We're right in the middle of the Android Central Podcast, but just a quick heads up that the Nexus Q -- that slick, expensive social music streaming thing -- apparently has hit some sort of limit. I've ordered a grand total of one (1), and it looks like I won't be ordering any more anytime soon.

It's also worth noting that there's no mention of any sort of shipping time frame -- and the 3- to 4-week window isn't even mentioned now.

We'll track this down some more when we get off the mic.

I am pretty sure this is cheating, but this a partial?repeat blog post from my internship last summer. However it is the new and improved version! Since I am working for Accenture again this summer a lot of the material isn?t completely new and foreign especially when?it comes to?the structure of the company.

Accenture is the largest consulting firm in the world with more than 225,000 employees in 120 countries. With that many employees, the resources and opportunities are enormous! If you are interested in more key facts and information about Accenture visit:?http://www.accenture.com/us-en/company/overview/Pages/index.aspx

Traditionally when you are hired into Accenture, you are hired for a specific platform with a ?specialization? in an operation. This matrix structure is often referred to as the ?Major/Minor System?:
Accenture has three platforms (Majors):
? Management Consulting- focused on business solutions, processes, and change management
? Technology-brings together the full range of systems integration, technology consulting, and IT outsourcing skills (technology resource/development)
? Business Process Outsourcing(BPO)- focuses on BPO services to enable high performance (Procurement, HR, Accenture?s five operating groups (Minors) cover 19 industries.

Accenture Career Matrix

Five Minors/Specializations:

? Resources: Chemicals, Energy, Natural Resources, Utilities
? Health & Public Service: Health, Public Service
Last summer I was a part of the Business Process Outsourcing and work internally. I sent surveys to supplier and buyers as well as worked with new hires in training.

This summer I have a completely different experience. I am in the Systems Integration Consulting which is part of the Technology major. My minor is with Financial Services as my client is an insurance and risk management firm. My eventual goal is to work in management consulting in either the financial services sector or in products.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or would like more detail!

Knicks Let Jeremy Lin Go To Rockets

The New York Knicks are letting Jeremy Lin depart for the Houston Rockets, according to a flurry of reports late on Tuesday evening. With approximately 90 minutes remaining before the Knicks had to decide whether or not to match the Rockets' three-year offer worth $25 million to the restricted free agent,
Marcus J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports and several other reporters received confirmation from a Knicks spokesman that the team isn't bringing Linsanity back to Madison Square Garden for a second season.

Marc J. Spears
Knicks spokesman confirms that Jeremy Lin's offer sheet will not be matched. is now officially a Rocket.

Along with Spears, Frank Isola of the New York Daily News and Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal were among those reporting on New York's decision. According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks confirmed the decision via email.

Marc Berman
#Knicks confirm tonight they are not matching Lin in email. Official.

According to Scott Soshnick of Bloomberg News, the deal will become official five minutes before the deadline.

As Knicks fans took to Twitter to debate, and largely lament, the decision, Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey was welcoming his newest player.

Daryl Morey
Welcome to Houston ! We plan to hang on this time. You will love #RedNation

Not long after Morey welcomed Lin, the overnight sensation out of Palo Alto, by way of Harvard, spoke to those who cheered him in New York and those hoping to do so in Houston.

Jeremy Lin
Extremely excited and honored to be a Houston Rocket again!! #RedNation
Jeremy Lin
Much love and thankfulness to the Knicks and New York for your support this past year...easily the best year of my life #ForeverGrateful

Howard Beck of the New York Times reported earlier on Tuesday that Knicks decided to let Lin go.

Lin signed Houston's offer sheet over the weekend, giving the Knicks three days to match. Initial reports indicated that New York would match any offer. But after signing Jason Kidd and Raymond Felton, keeping Linsanity in the Big Apple seemed doubtful.

Restaurant Review from July 1 - 8 - Official Aruba Community Forum

Top o? the list:

White Modern Cuisine (Palm Beach Mall ? second floor):
This is a top end restaurant with excellent food, beautiful presentation and a real ?mixologist? for a bartender. We enjoyed a wonderful meal with the most pleasant of servers. My appetizer was a kimchee salad which was excellent, not too spicy and one of the prettiest preparations I?ve had the pleasure to devour. I had the snapper for an entr?e and it was delicious. My wife had two appetizers; the corn soup which she loved and a scallop appetizer that was fully as large as some other restaurants entrees. My wife asked to compliment the chef. We highly recommend it and will be back on our next trip.

Papiamento (Just past Linda?s and Bingos. Turn right at the CNB building):
We can?t believe we?ve been coming to Aruba for 5 years and just hit this for the first time. The restaurant is open-air and surrounds a pool, behind a house built in the late 1800?s. It is a very pretty setting and takes on a more romantic feel when the sun sets and all the plants and trees are lighted. The food was great and the service even better. It was packed, but the wait staff was very attentive, filling our water and checking in when needed. It was a 2+ hour meal, but felt just right. We started with the Ayaca appetizer ? a mix of cornmeal, chicken, prunes and spices, cooked in a banana leaf. Our server told us it?s a Christmas favorite. It?s different and good. They serve it with a blazing hot papaya dipping sauce, so beware! Dip gingerly. My wife had a great steak with a cheese sauce that she loved. I had the wahoo and shrimp on a hot stone. It was some of the best shrimp and fish I?ve had anywhere. We will return on our next trip.

Next in line:

Amadeus (Turn left at the Texaco station from 1a [I think the sign says Paradera]) and go about 1.5 miles):
This is a return engagement for us. Both times, the food was excellent. We split a big Caesar Salad. My wife had the veal shank and loved it. I opted for the Jamaican Ribs and fries. Wow! They were great and I ate way too much. We couldn?t resist dessert. My wife had a hankering for apple pie and ice cream. The only reason it didn?t make the top this time is that our drinks at the bar before dinner were just so ? so. Her Bloody Mary tasted like plain old tomato juice. I think that?s easily fixed. We?ll probably be back, as the service was terrific and the food was as well.

Barefoot (Go past the I Heart Aruba sign and turn right just after Nikky Beach ? they have a handmade weathered sign that you could miss):
We loved the view, even though the container docks are in the distance. They have beachfront or under a large palapa dining. We opted for the palapa, right at the rail. We got there early and had a delightful conversation with Jose, the bartender, who made delicious cocktails (Aruba Ariba and Barefoot Delight). We shared a Caesar salad and my wife ordered the Grouper Romana and I had the Snapper. Mine was terrific. My wife was not as happy about hers. She thought it came with fresh tomatoes instead of a tomato sauce. She wasn?t crazy about the sauce. We?ll probably be back, since everything else was great including wonderful service. She?ll order a different meal, for sure.

Bingo?s (Turn off 1a at the Wendy?s, pass Wacky Wahoo and look on the left in the same plaza as Linda?s):
Other than my home cooked pasta alia oglio one night, this was our designated lighter meal. We shared a great, refreshing salad with field greens, nuts, raisins and mandarin oranges and shared a pasta and chicken dish with lots of garlic. They only charged $4.00 for a larger sharing portion of each. The food is very tasty, the wine and beer is inexpensive and both us left very satisfied for under $60. We?ll be back for a light meal.

Linda?s (see Bingo?s but stop 100 feet sooner):
We go every year, have delicious breakfast pancakes and feel slightly guilty for having such a big breakfast. However, our strategy is to eat there, then go to Ling and Son?s for food. We buy less impulse food because we?re stuffed. This year, DW got the apples and raisins and I got the gouda and bacon. Delicious and plate-sized pancakes in the thin Dutch style.

Scott?s Brats (On the beach in front of Playa Linda):
A beer and a brat (or Italian Sausage with onions and peppers) for $8.00! It?s hard to go wrong. Two great proprietors, a nice location in the middle of the high-rise hotels and friendly conversation make this a great stop for lunch. It was an easy walk from the Marriott OC. The walk back allowed DW to stop at the ice cream stand in front of Playa Linda and grab a Mocha Chocolate for the return.

Zeerover?s (in Savaneta on the water about a block in from 1a.)
Great fish or shrimp or both ? (it?s located on a fisherman?s pier), cooked fresh and served in a basket with fried plantain, fries, cornbread and a cold Balashi. You leave stuffed for about $12.00. Amazing for lunch after a hard day snorkeling at Mangel Halto.

Hmmm????

Simply Fish (On the beach in front of the Marriott Stellaris):
This is where we land after we arrive and unpack at the Ocean Club for our traditional first-night meal. My wife loves it. She loves the food, the view and the service. I must admit, all three are great. My problem is with the cost. The food and drink are certainly on par at Papiamento, White Modern Cuisine, MJ?s, etc. None of the aforementioned are as expensive as Simply Fish, though. By way of example, a bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc is now $54 at Simply Fish. It was $45 last year. I know a 2.5 ? 3 X?s markup is typical, but this is more like 4X. The entrees are also about $5 more than comparable quality restaurants. It?s a good way to get into Aruba decompression mode, but I always feel slightly bad about getting gouged. However, if you get the 10% off voucher from Marriott, you?ll feel a little better.

Thunderstorms halt lawn chair balloon flight

An Oregon gas station owner and an Iraqi adventurer trying to fly from Central Oregon to Montana were forced to abort their flight to Montana on Saturday due to thunderstorms.

About six hours into their flight, Kent Couch and Fareed Lafta started to descend from an altitude of 10,000 feet because of the weather, flight organizer Mark Knowles told The Associated Press.

The website tracker showed them about five miles south of the town of Prineville, about 30 miles northeast of their starting point. The pair initially floated about 40 miles north before winds sent them back south, then east, the direction they wanted to go.

"Thunderstorms are around them," Knowles said by cellphone. "We've got visual contact. I can't see their faces."

About 90 volunteers and several hundred onlookers counted down and then cheered as the pair lifted off from Couch's Shell gas station. The duo safely cleared a two-story motel, a coffee stand and a light post. They floated about 30 miles north, then winds pushed them back to the south, before sending them to the east, the direction they wanted to go.

"The interesting thing is, anybody can do this," Couch, the veteran of several lawn chair balloon flights, said before the flight. "They don't have to sit on the couch thinking, 'I should have done it.' They can do it."

Lafta, a mountain climber and sky diver, said he had shared Couch's childhood dream of floating like a cloud. He sent Couch an email two winters ago after reading accounts of Couch's earlier flights.

"I want to inspire Iraqis and say we need to defeat terrorists," Lafta said. "We don't need just an Army. We need ideology and to just have fun."

Track the couch balloon flight here

Volunteers filled 350 5-foot diameter red, white, blue and black balloons with helium and tied them to Couch's homemade tandem lawn chair rig. The balloons were arranged in bunches to represent the colors of the U.S. and Iraqi flags. An American flag flew from the bottom of the framework supporting the chairs.

Just before liftoff, they had to ask children in the crowd to return four balloons to provide extra lift.

The rig included 800 pounds of ballast ? red Kool-Aid in 40-gallon barrels. Besides a GPS, navigation gear, satellite phone, oxygen, two-way radios, eight cameras, and parachutes, they were carrying two Red Ryder BB rifles and a pair of blowguns to shoot out enough balloons to come to earth when the time is right.

"The landings are very tough," Couch said. "I don't think about the landings until I have to land. That's how I do it."

Expecting to float at 15,000-18,000 feet, where temperatures drop to near zero, they packed sleeping bags to stay warm.

Electronic gear was powered by a solar panel. A flare gun was tied onto the framework for emergencies. They also carried the ashes of a family friend to spread over the high desert.

Lance Schliep, an appliance repairman, helped Couch with the latest design, made entirely from items bought at local hardware stores and junk from Couch's garage.

"It's about as redneck as you can get," Couch said.

Couch said their biggest challenge was finding enough helium to fill all the balloons. They sent as far as the Midwest for bottles. Each balloon that popped on inflation represented a $50 loss, but Couch would not divulge the total cost.

The two men hoped to fly through the night across the mountains of Idaho and touch down Sunday morning somewhere in southwestern Montana.

The flight was a warm-up for plans to fly a tandem lawn chair balloon rig in Baghdad sometime in the future.

"My target is to inspire young people, especially in the Mideast," Lafta said. "I want to tell them, 'I didn't give up. Keep standing. Smile. This is the way to defeat terrorists.'"

Couch said receiving Lafta's email in the dead of winter, at a time he was bored, inspired him to go aloft again.

"I never really thought I would do it again," Couch said. "I thought I had had enough excitement.

"I started thinking, it sounds fun. It takes six months after you land for your brain to get over the fear and just the emotions."

They planned to fly over Iraq last year, but ran into problems getting permission from the government.

"I really enjoy being able to share the experience with somebody else," Couch said. "I could only tell people about the experience," until now.

Couch has wanted to float like a cloud since he was a child, and was inspired by a TV show about the 1982 lawn chair flight over Los Angeles by truck driver Larry Walters, who gained urban myth immortality.

Couch's first time up was in 2006, when he got only 99 miles before the balloons started popping and he had to bail out.

In 2007, he flew 193 miles before running low on helium and landing in the sagebrush of Eastern Oregon.

In 2008, things went much more smoothly. After lifting off at dawn July 5 with the help of scores of volunteers, he floated at 35 mph across the high desert, reaching his goal of crossing the Idaho border. That's when he pulled out his trusty BB rifle and shot out enough balloons to come to earth in a pasture outside the tiny farming community of Cambridge, Idaho.

Couch was at it again in 2010, racing another lawn chair balloonist in a flight that went about 70 miles.

Just before using up scuba diving as being a recreational sport, it truly is significant Nike Pas Cher that you get your self the vital scuba equipment and equipment. There are various choices out there but if you're a beginner, it's greatest to begin from the fundamentals just like the mask, fins, snorkel, and weight belt, then shift on to sophisticated sets later.

The basics:

The diving mask allows you to see underwater by means of the glass plate in front. Most diving masks are created in this kind of a way that a consumer can breathe out into the mask. This stops the "squeeze" through the descent caused by pressure. Decide on a mask that adequately fits your encounter and types a seal. Most scuba diving masks come with a rubber or silicone "skirt" that produces a watertight seal using the diver's face.
